B30 Bioheat® Fuel for South Coast MA Homes

Renewable heating fuel made from local used cooking oil. Cleaner for your equipment, better for the community, and it works in the oil heat system you already own.

What's In the Tank

What Is B30 Bioheat® Fuel?

B30 Bioheat® fuel is a blend of 30% renewable biodiesel and 70% ultra low sulfur heating oil, and it's what flows through every Brodeur & Sons truck on every heating oil delivery we make. The biodiesel comes from used cooking oil that gets a second life instead of going to waste.

The part that surprises most homeowners: there's nothing to convert, upgrade, or buy. B30 works in your existing oil furnace or boiler exactly as it is. You get a cleaner-burning, renewable fuel, and your heating system just sees fuel.

If you've been carrying a little guilt about heating with oil, this is the answer that doesn't require ripping out your system or financing new equipment.

Made From Local Restaurant Cooking Oil

Our sister company, Cape Cod Biofuels, collects used cooking oil from restaurants across southeastern Massachusetts and refines it into clean-burning biodiesel. That biodiesel gets blended into the Bioheat® fuel we deliver to homes from New Bedford to Wareham. The fish and chips you ordered last summer might literally be keeping a neighbor's house warm this winter.

Why It Matters

What Bioheat® Does for Your Home

The case for Bioheat® isn't a feel-good story. It shows up in how your heating system runs and what it costs you to maintain.

Burns Cleaner

Less sulfur and a renewable blend mean less soot building up inside your system. A cleaner burn keeps your heat exchanger efficient season after season.

Easier on Your Equipment

Less buildup means less wear on your burner and fewer service headaches. It can extend the life of your heating equipment, which is the most expensive thing in your basement.

Renewable and Local

Every gallon recycles waste oil from South Coast restaurants and keeps the value in the local economy. We'll raise a glass to that, and you should too.

Zero Switching Cost

No conversions, no new equipment, no decisions to agonize over. Your next delivery can be Bioheat®, whether you order on-demand or enroll in automatic delivery.

Bioheat® Fuel FAQ

Is Bioheat really better than regular heating oil, or is it just marketing?

It's a real difference you can measure in your equipment. B30 Bioheat fuel blends 30% renewable biodiesel with ultra low sulfur heating oil, so it burns cleaner than traditional heating oil. A cleaner burn means less soot in your heat exchanger, less wear on your burner, and a heating system that tends to need fewer repairs over its life.

Do I need to change my heating equipment to use B30 Bioheat?

No. B30 Bioheat works in your existing oil furnace or boiler with no modifications, no conversions, and no new equipment. If your home heats with oil today, you can switch to Bioheat with your very next delivery and your system will never know the difference, except that it stays cleaner.

Where does your Bioheat fuel come from?

Our biodiesel is produced by our sister company, Cape Cod Biofuels, from used cooking oil collected at restaurants right here in southeastern Massachusetts. That oil gets refined into clean-burning biodiesel and blended into the Bioheat fuel we deliver across the South Coast, so the value of every gallon stays in the local economy.

Does Bioheat cost more than regular heating oil?

Bioheat is competitively priced with traditional heating oil, and because it burns efficiently and is easier on your equipment, it can save you money on service and repairs over time. Our current price updates with the market, and you can check today's rate and order online any time.
